Instructor-Led Training
Team Development
ILT presentation on the basics of team development. Part of a 6-day leadership training session for local Boy Scouts of America adult volunteers.
I created the slides and the presenter script from the course curriculum. The presentation includes video clips from a popular movie and discussion about elements of team development observed in the clips.
This presentation has been converted to a Storyline 360 eLearning module, see it here:
Self-Assessment
Presentation on self-assessment. Part of a 6-day leadership training session for local Boy Scouts of America adult volunteers.
This presentation reviews multiple assessment concepts from earlier in the training, ties them together and presents an example to demonstrate their use.
Communication
Small group presentation on the principles of communication. Slides are very simple to ensure good visibility - they were printed at letter size and presented via flip-book in an outdoor (no technology) setting.
Search and Rescue
Facilitated three Search and Rescue modules for Philmont Leadership Challenge. Modules use large-group, wide-area simulated Search and Rescue activities as a context to practice and examine leadership.
Facilitated discussion focused on recognizing leadership challenges of the exercise. Specifically communication, planning and team dynamics. The activities often bring out conflict within the teams - facilitation needs to help people work through those feelings so that the team can move on.
There are no artifacts to share for these sessions. They are held outdoors and use paper flip-charts as the only visual reference.
